Dr. Peter van Dyck received his BA degree from Cornell University in 1974 and his MD degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1981. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the UNC-Chapel Hill in 1986, and he has been Board-Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1987.
Dr. van Dyck has been in private practice in Raleigh since 1987. He was Medical Director of the Minirth-Meier/New Life Treatment Program at Holly Hill Hospital and then Clinical Director of the adult inpatient program at the same hospital.
Dr. van Dyck currently serves as Medical Director of the office, supervising clinical care. He provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
Dr. van Dyck has been a member of the American Psychiatric Association since 1983. He was named Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association in 2003. He is also a member of the North Carolina Psychiatric Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
