Trans-Cranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a new treatment for depression that utilizes magnetic waves to directly treat depression in the brain.
In its updated treatment guidelines for depression, the American Psychiatric Association added TMS as a recommended treatment for treatment-resistant depression.
